It’s not about what the scale reads. It’s not about what you physically look like. It’s about feeling energized and empowered. It’s about supporting the hard work you’ve put into yourself with soul-filling, nutrient dense food that sustains you. Regardless of where the day takes you.
Over 80% of health and fitness plans revolve around nutrition. You can work out and work hard every day, but if you don't eat frequently and properly, you won’t see the results of your work. It’s time to focus on your health and wellbeing, lose or manage weight, and transform your fitness journey. After the age of 40, women lose 1% of bodyfat each year! So, but they time we hit 50..that's 10% and that's just not ok. So, I lean into protein to keep my muscle tone. I focus on eating 30 grams if protein at breakfast, lunch and dinner. I go for a protein shake in the morning- must have 30 grams of protein (Shakeology, Isagenix, OWYN protein are my go to). Then I add 1/2 an avocado for health fats. Then I wait 4 hours and eat again at lunch. Again, I shoot for 30 grams of protein (think one chicken breast-size of your entire hand) and add veggies to your lunch. Again, wait 4-5 hours for dinner. At dinner, I eat another 6 ounces of lean protein (chicken, fish, lean red meat) along with veggies, berries and I love a piece of dark chocolate as a treat.
